AJ Hartman Racing currently competes in NASA's American Iron series. Whenever possible we test our parts on our own cars or customer cars and back up the results with data aquisition. This allows us to speak from personal experience on parts and services to make you and your car as quick as it can be. We have customers that race in NASA, SCCA, PCA, and BMWCCA and have set records, won races, and even some championships in all those series as well. We ended up winning the NASA American Iron Championship in the North East region in 2013. 2014 we took a slight pull back from racing to concentrate on the business in order to provide our customers with the best products and services possible. 2015 didn't go quite our way, but 2016 has been amazing so far. The first ever 3.5 EcoBoost swapped Mustang to be raced is leading the championship.
We also have a Mazda Miata that we built for Chump Car endurance racing. We ran 3 events this year with decent results and look to make it even better this year. Endurance racing tests our ability to take a car (a very cheap, beat up car per the rules) and make it last over long races. It adds an aspect to racing that sprint racing doesn't have. It also forces us to look at cars slightly differently than cars built for sprint races. Fuel strategy and pit stops come into play as huge amounts of time can be gained or lost there. We have only competed in a handfull of ChumpCar races so far but our results have been getting better with each race.
