Simple Tip to Keep Your Racecar Cool

Posted by

I often overhear people complaining about their car running hot when last summer it was fine. Well, we can assume that you have adequate cooling capacity as far as the radiator size and pump are concerned. But why the sudden spike in temperatures? Probably because your radiator fins are completely clogged with little bits of pebbles, sand, grass, bugs, tire rubber, whatever. Below is a quick video I did showing how much stuff you can collect from you radiator if you blow it out from the engine bay forward. If you can't find one of the blow tips locally, here is a link to one on Amazon. The other thing you would obviously need is an air compressor. Otherwise, go to town and clean out that radiator.
